Why do I have to verify who I am?

Good question. A requirement of getting such a great deal on this service is that you have to actually be actively serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces. And while we would love to just take your word for it, we need to see some kind of official documentation as proof.

Why wasn't I instantly verified?

Perhaps you were in too much of a hurry to access Jans.com's offer? As with most things -- neatness counts, so make sure you correctly entered: your name, date of birth, and other information. If your official documentation says your name is Jonathon, but your friends call you John - you've got to use the actual name that shows on your documentation to pass the verification requirements.

How long will it take to review my documents?

The review process can take up to twenty (20) minutes.

I don't want to do this online, how can I talk to a real person?

Currently, this offer is only being verified via our online verification service. Our safe and secure process is the fastest way to complete your verification and successfully access the offer.

What happens to my information that I have submitted for verification?

We will only use your information to confirm your identity. We do not keep your information. We do not sell your information. I'm a National Guard or Reserve Service Member and was not instantly verified. Can you help me?

A percentage of Active Duty military personnel are a part of the National Guard or Reserve service who are not reported in a way that can be automatically validated through our accredited access to authoritative data. For any questions in regards to this, please email us at info@sheerid.com.

What kind of proof do you require?

We accept a wide variety of readily available and approved forms of documentation. We are looking for official documentation that clearly shows your first and last name, a date of birth or discharge/retire date, and a clear affiliation with the military. We strongly suggest any documentation sent to us have sensitive information blacked out before it is uploaded to our system. Uploading documentation to us is optional, but without something to verify your credentials, we will be unable to successfully complete your request.

Examples of accepted documentation include Leave and Earnings Statement, Proof of Service Letter, Discharge Papers, and Housing Requests.
